Please go through below mentioned presentation options and decide which one is the most suitable & convenient for you

Oral Presentations (Attending in person)

  • The total time allotted to each presenter is 15 minutes. You should plan to speak for 12 minutes and leave 3 minutes for questions & answers.
  • Ensure that you are available at least 01 hour before the session starts on the day of the conference.
  • All presentations MUST run on the Windows operating system, the Laptop and the Multimedia Projector with screen, IT support will be provided. The recommended software to be used is Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Presentations MUST be sent to the conference organizing committee on or before PP presentation due date. Having the presentation files loaded in advance will help to ensure that the each and every session run according to the schedule without any delays.
  • Bring an extra-copy of your presentation to the conference on a USB media storage device. This copy is to be used as a backup if required at the time. Make sure the USB media storage device and presentation file are properly labelled with your name, presentation day, time and the conference name.

What are the Good Practices for Oral Presentations?

  • Show no more than 1 slide per minute of speaking time, this means approximately 10 – 12 slides MAXIMUM for the 12 minutes presentation at the conference. Remember, the last 03 minutes of the presentation are for questions from the audience.
  • It detracts from the quality of the presentation to flash numerous graphs, equations, or tables on the screen in rapid sequence in an effort to squeeze a presentation into its allotted time.
  • We recommend a presentation slides should be designed in the format of 16:9 or 4:3 standard aspect ratio.
  • In addition to the body of the talk, present an introduction and a summary or conclusion.
  • If a question requires a lengthy reply, suggest that you and the person asking the question meet after the presentation. Then take the discussion out of the technical room.

Poster Presentation (Attending in person)

If you wish to present your research displaying a poster, a poster presentation session is allocated for the purpose. Each poster is displayed in the conference. Dimensions for the posters are 2 X 3 feet (Width 2' and Height 3') Poster stands and technical help will be provided to display your poster by the Conference organizers.

What Makes a Good Poster?

  • There is no need to have a presentation but be prepared to answer questions and discuss your material with interested delegates
  • Important information should be readable from about 10 feet away.
  • Title is short and draws interest.
  • Word count of about 300 to 800 words.
  • Text is clear and to the point.
  • Use of bullets, numbering, and headlines make it easy to read.
  • Effective use of graphics, colour and fonts.
  • Consistent and clean layout.
  • Includes acknowledgments, your name and institutional affiliation.
